Who we are

Bridging the gap between awareness and access.

Improving the well-being of young people and vulnerable communities through awareness, education, and practical support.

Our story
Est.
2025

Meyiwa Vera Empowerment Foundation was born from a key realization: despite Nigeria having the highest sickle cell burden globally, many young people lack a proper understanding of the disease.

Founded in September 2025, we have grown from a local initiative into a registered non-profit organization with a national reach, driven by the belief that genotype testing should be normalized and accessible to all.

Our work combines visibility, storytelling, and community impact. From the streets of Lagos to underserved communities across Nigeria, we are building a movement that empowers individuals to make informed genotype decisions.
